Gina Labovitz, MD, FAAP, is a highly qualified, board-certified pediatrician who devotes herself to providing outstanding care for her young patients at Ross Bridge Medical Center Pediatrics in Hoover, Alabama.
Dr. Labovitz grew up in Union, Kentucky, before moving to Cincinnati to attend Xavier University. She graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in biology and enrolled at the University of Kentucky in Lexington to study for her medical degree.
After achieving her degree, she moved on to the University of Alabama, at Birmingham/Children’s Hospital of Alabama, Pediatric Residency Program to complete her training. Following her qualification, Dr. Labovitz became a pediatrician at Southlake Pediatrics in Hoover, Alabama, before starting Ross Bridge Medical Center Pediatrics. She also spent time as a medical missionary in Latacunga, Ecuador.
Dr. Labovitz has built up a well-deserved reputation as an exceptional pediatrician who cares deeply about the children in her care. She’s a keen advocate of healthy, active living for children and families, understanding the immense benefits a healthy lifestyle provides, and her expertise is also recognized by the American Academy of Pediatrics, which awarded her a fellowship.
Dr. Labovitz also has a special interest in primary care of the newborn and premature infants, care of children with special needs, asthma, and eczema. As both a pediatrician and a mother, she also applies her expertise to the field of baby care products and children’s toys.
When she’s not attending to her patients’ needs, Dr. Labovitz loves to spend time with her husband and young son. She enjoys trying out new restaurants in the Birmingham area, traveling to the beaches on the Gulf of Mexico, painting, and visiting her family in Kentucky and Colorado.
